Becca Brainerd – “The message of the Gospel is a message of inclusion.”

As a part of our Christmas series on the Nativity, this message takes a closer look at the role of the shepherds who are the first to hear the good news, of great joy at the birth of Jesus. The message those humble shepherds received serves as a reminder for us this season that there is great joy in acceptance as the Father invites us into not only His family, but into the telling of His story of redemption as well.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Becca Brainerd. As a young graduate of Multnomah University, I began my ministry career as a youth pastor in Portland Oregon. For the last three years, my husband Tyler and I have been a part of Oasis Vineyard in Hermiston, Oregon. I serve as part of both the teaching, and leadership teams, Tyler leads worship on Sunday mornings, and I occasionally play drums. During the week I teach special education at a local elementary school and am in the process of completing my Master’s degree. If something can be made by hand I’ve probably done it, or at least attempted. I love to bake, crochet, do hand-lettering, and find joy in my identity as a creator like my Father.
